Learning Outcomes of UE
Upon completion of the language courses of the third module, students will have a good command of the foreign language at the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will be able to:
- understand texts in which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints as well as contemporary fiction works; follow complex lines of argument provided the topic is reasonably familiar; understand current affairs programmes and films in standard dialect;
- interact with native speakers;
- produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of familiar subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Critical analysis of genuine audio-visual documents and varied texts. Oral and written exercises.
Emphasis on interaction with native speakers and on intercultural skills (preparation for linguistic immersion during the 2nd term).
