Programme component

Learning Outcomes of UE

By using case studies situations students will have to analyze HR issues and organizational contexts in order to define appropriate HR strategies linked to specific HR practices. Students have to think about strategies that can help organizations to stand out from competing companies and define the way an organization can affect available resources to human resource management

Content of UE

There are 2 parts in this seminar:
- Part one is dedicated to the analysis of internal and external organizational contexts. Students have to detect threats, opportunities, strengths and weaknesses surrounding human resource management. Thanks to such analysis students will be able to define the company main HR issues and to propose HR strategies.
- In Part two students will have to analyze case studies ant to define specific HR strategies (related to HR practices such as planning, recruitment,  ...) linked to particular contexts.

Evaluation is based on :              
- a case study that is treated individually (written report + oral presentation : 40%) 
-  3 case studies that are treated during the semester in work group or individually (written reports + oral examination : 60%)
