Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

In accordance with the competency framework of the clinical orthopedagogue, at the end of this UE, the student will be able to :
- analyze and diagnose dysfunctions of systems, development, learning, behavioral and emotional disorders and integrate the social consequences of these. 
- to carry out prevention, accompaniment and treatment interventions, seeking to improve the possibilities of development and fulfillment, quality of life, participation in society and autonomy of the client and/or the client's environment. 
- to correctly and systematically exploit the intervention process.

Content of UE

What characterizes atypical development? How to evaluate it? How to intervene with the person who presents such an atypical development?
The content of this AA will focus first on the theoretical models of typical and atypical human development. Next, we will discuss techniques for assessing human development, taking into account the spheres of autonomy, socialization, communication, language and cognition. Using the results of these tools, we will study early intervention strategies, as well as primary, secondary and tertiary prevention practices. 

The disorders addressed in this A.A. will focus on :
- Autism spectrum disorders
- intellectual disability
- challenging behaviors
