Learning Outcomes of UE

Lesson aims at developing the critical attitude of the students by questioning on aesthetic stakes and political mechanisms of architectural criticism on architectural production in XXTH - XXITH s. At the end of this education, the students will be capable of developing a personal critical opinion in the field of current architecture. This "lesson-seminar « allows them to introduce the debate on the sources of architectural criticism and to assess the interest of a transverse approach for trandisciplinaire research in architecture. The question setting épistémologique on knowledge "there " or "of " architecture aims at highlighting approaches specific for research «in architecture» and «on architecture».   Questioning the status of contemporary art - with its technological diversification and expansion of the scope of the investigation has invested a plastic transdisciplinary major role in the architectural or urban setting. To assess the role of the art critic and independent manner, the aesthetic analysis approach comes: objectified our artistic sensitivity, demonstrate the effects sought by the artist, decode the message of the work and enjoy the integration Urban and natural space. Beyond a simple look carried on art, lesson aims at improving our perception and capacity of opening in to the world. An interdisciplinary and sensory reflexion relating to the "nomadism" of artistic and scientific languages will allow the student in to position in their architectural course.
