Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in psychology and educational sciences to analyse a situation involving these disciplines
    • Identify and explain the concepts, principles and models of fundamental theoretical trends in psychology and educational sciences and their applications
    • Identify and describe the biological and socio-cultural foundations of human behaviour
    • Identify and describe the specific characteristics of psychology and educational sciences and their relationship to other contributory disciplines
    • Explain and give examples of human functioning, including in its atypical and pathological dimensions
    • Describe the principles of methodological approaches (objectives, methods, techniques and tools) to understand and explain the functioning of individuals, groups and organisations
  • Provide clear, accurate, and reasoned information
    • Summarise the contributions of different sources to justify an opinion or decision
    • Write bibliographic references and results of statistical analysis in a standardised way (according to APA standards)
    • Provide information (both orally and in writing) regarding the fields of psychology and educational sciences in an intelligible manner, with a good command of the language communication techniques.

  • Understand the fundamentals related to the scientific approach in psychology or educational sciences
    • Identify and describe the specific characteristics of scientific processes
    • Identify and describe the different steps to carry out research
    • Conduct relevant research from scientific literature, from both Francophone and Anglophone references, and select appropriate elements with respect to a particular research topic.

Learning Outcomes of UE

Look up information in B2+ level education  and psychology-related publications written in English; improve writing skills (B1 level); take part in conversations with people working in the same field at level B1; use the recommended references, namely websites, in order to work autonomously. Read B2+ level texts in pedagogy and psychology-related fields and answer related questions. Listen to B1+ conversations in pedagogy and psychology-related fields and answer related questions.

Content of UE

Group work on oral comprehension and reading comprehension and writing skills. Activities in small groups meant to focus on oral expression (pronunciation of specific words).Individual activities: listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing. Grammar and vocabulary. Specialized glossary (oral and written version).
