Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
The objective of this course is for the students to master the main theoretical concepts of semiology. At the end of the course, using the priniciples of applied semiology, the students will have developed a method of analysing images and the media.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The aim of this General Semiology (Sémiologie générale) course is to introduce the students to the fundamental theoretical concepts of semiology. The course will help the students to develop an analytical approach allowing them to deconstruct communicative semiotic systems. It also aims to enable students to identify and analyze the ideologies, representations and stereotypes that surround us.
