Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the fundamentals
    • Undertake further study having already acquired and enhanced the necessary learning skills
  • Provide clear and accurate information
    • Communicate complex information to a qualified scientific partner
  • Collaborate and work in a team
    • Have developed practical skills in physics through practical sessions in the laboratory, including error analysis and critical evaluation of experimental results, and sessions during which they have worked individually and in groups.
  • Grow personally and professionally
    • Have developed generic skills that are applicable in other contexts, especially a basic knowledge of chemistry, the use of the English language and understanding programming techniques

Learning Outcomes of UE

To be able to carry out a bibliographic search, exhaustive or targeted, in an efficient and fast way, and this, as well from scientific than general public databases. Build a bibliographic search guided by thesaurus.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

The UE presents to the student the principles of scientific publication, the main bibliographic databases and their use, the personal tools of bibliography; the issues of open source and scientific integrity are also discussed. The evaluation is done under the form of a presentation of a scientific subject by developing the research methodology and the presentation of the subject itself.

AATerm 1 Assessment - comments
M-CTPH-201Attendance at practical work sessions determines participation in the theory test. The student must count at least 50% of attendance at practical sessions and seminars. ANY absence must be justified.

The evaluation is done in the form of
- a written MCQ type test, the success of which with a mark of at least 10/20 determines participation to the oral evaluation
- an oral presentation of a scientific subject by developing the research methodology and the presentation of the subject itself.

If the written test is passed, the weighting of the final mark will be 30% for the written test and 70% for the oral presentation.
If you fail the written test, the final grade will be that of the written test.
