Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Acquire, understand and use knowledge in the fields of biology and other fields
    • Understand the fundamentals of chemistry (including organic chemistry) and general physics both applied to biology
    • Understand and use mathematical tools and basic statistics to describe and understand biological concepts
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the general principles of life to understand questions and solve situations related to biology
    • Integrate knowledge from other fields of knowledge with biology (earth science, physics, chemistry, mathematics), in a critical way, to foster an interdisciplinary approach
  • Apply a scientific approach and critical thinking
    • Present a hypothesis and hypothetical-deductive reasoning
    • Manage doubt and uncertainty
  • Develop autonomy, set training objectives and make choices to achieve them
    • Manage stress regardless of events (exams, presentations, etc.)

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, the student will be able to understand the working of the different organs of the body (heart, lungs, kidney, digestive tract, autonomic nervous system, endocrine glands).   For each tissue/organ, the mode of action of different drugs will be studied At the end of the course, the student will have basic knowledges allowing the understanding of diseases and treatments related to the circulatory and respiratory systems.
