Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of this teaching, the students will be able to manipulate quantifiers in formal arguments and make sense of quantified sentences in the context of mathematical analysis. A real depth, both for argumentation and intuition, will be developed.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Basic analysis course (convergence, devivation, topology). See the course comonents (AA) for details.
Prior Experience
Knowing the material covered by the courses
- Mathématiques Élémentaires
- Calculus I
is an asset.
Type(s) and mode(s) of Q2 UE assessment
Q2 UE Assessment Comments
None.
Method of calculating the overall mark for the Q2 UE assessment
The final mark is composed for 40% of the one of the written exam and for 60% of the one of the oral exam except if one of those marks is ≤ 7 in which case the final mark is min{0.4·E, 0.6·O} where E (resp. O) is the mark on 20 of the written (resp. oral) exam.
Type(s) and mode(s) of Q3 UE assessment
