Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand, thoroughly and critically, the basic theoretical frameworks on social transitions and innovations.
    • Analyse social, political and economic change.
    • Analyse a situation by critically selecting the appropriate theoretical frameworks.
  • Mobilise the relevant analytical approaches and the appropriate methodological tools to analyse, rigorously, thoroughly and comparatively, the problems of social transitions and innovations, including their interactions and their spatial and temporal evolutions.
    • Understand the changes specific to transitions and social innovations.

Learning Outcomes of UE

The aim of the course is to enable students to understand and take into account in their educational practices the essential notions related to the effects of cultural contacts in human relations, to adopt a reflexive point of view appropriate to the respect of cultural diversity and to be able to analyze an intercultural situation with regard to the theoretical models and concepts presented.

- Concepts of culture (characteristics, functions) and cultural diversity (dimensions, evolution).
- Links between cultures and education ; fields of (inter)cultural education.
- Notions of intercultural skills.
