Learning Outcomes of UE

The objectives are
- to master contemporary architectural culture and its challenges
- to make students aware of the techniques that enable the design of low-tech projects (natural ventilation, adiabatic cooling, heat pump heating, etc.)
- master the design process in architecture and the formulation of ideas: contextualise, analyse, argue, synthesise
- develop a critical opinion
- develop architectural curiosity

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

The course is subdivided into 3 activities:
- "lectures": theoretical knowledge, presentation of contemporary and/or low-tech architectural reference projects, referencing, analyses, discussions
- Supervised practical work (1) - Group work - Contemporary low-tech architectural references: contextualising, analysing, arguing, synthesising, developing a critical opinion - according to the instructions given in the first course
- Supervised practical work (2) - Personal work: during the four-month period, the student will have to carry out 12 activities related to contemporary architecture (Arts, Architecture, Urbanism) and/or low-tech architecture and record them (description, critical analysis and illustrations) in a "logbook" (according to the instructions given during the first course):
             - 4 lectures (face-to-face), primarily those organised in the EU;
             - 3 visits (city, district, built or unbuilt architecture, museum, exhibition,...) ;
             - 1 scientific publication;
             - 4 activities of your choice.
