Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Critically compare knowledge acquired to real situations.
    • Demonstrate an acute sense of analysis, criticism and ethics in relation to various issues in economics and management.

Learning Outcomes of UE

The objective of this activity is to carry out professional exchanges between FWEG students and alumni mainly working in the regions of Mons, Charleroi and Picardy Wallonia.

The Master-journeyman will show the students, through this observation internship, how the business unfolds once they have left the University.
By being in direct contact with the professional world, the student will become aware of the professional requirements and challenges, which should enable him/her to make the best possible choices for his/her future.

This type of collaboration should also facilitate the recruitment of future interns and future collaborators.

In practical terms, the observation activities can be spread over the entire academic year (from October to April).

Exceptionally this academic year 2022-2023, it is possible that the organization of the course will be somewhat modified and that more hours of online courses will be given, via the Microsoft Stream platform.
Whatever the organization, students will be informed in due time and coaching sessions will of course be organized.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

The course will be subdivided into two main parts: one dedicated to setting up the observation internship and end-of-internship presentations (face-to-face activity), the other to the actual observation internship and to the writing of the report by the student (activity outside the classroom).
More precisely :
- The course will begin with a presentation by the professor of the expectations of the course and of the master-journeyman candidates. At the end of this session, a student-master matching will be carried out.
- The second part of the activity will be dedicated to the observation itself, lasting a minimum of 10 hours.
- The third part will be dedicated to the writing of the report and the preparation of the oral presentation by the student, presentation to be made at the end of the academic year.

Prior to the activity as such, the student companions will be asked to submit a letter of motivation of maximum 2 pages, presenting their attraction for this activity and highlighting their expectations.
