Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)

Learning Outcomes of UE

Upon completion of the language courses of the second block, students will
have a good command of the foreign language at the B2 level of the
Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Students will be able to:
- understand articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems in
which the writers adopt particular stances or viewpoints;
- understand contemporary prose;
- write clear, detailed texts on a variety of subjects related to their fields of
interest, which give information or give reasons in support of or against a
particular point of view.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Commented reading of factual and literary texts.
Writing exercises.
Analysis and commented reading of varied texts (content, style, length,
function).
Production of texts with implementation of compensation, control and
correction strategies:
- summarizing of information and arguments coming from various sources;
- development of personal arguments.
