Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Demonstrate real knowledge of the cultures of the studied languages
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
    • Be familiar with codes and conventions of other cultures for the sake of interpersonal relationships
  • Use everyday technology (technological skills)
    • Use standard office software tools and editorial assistance effectively
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used
    • Give a critique of the studied literature

Learning Outcomes of UE

Students will be able to: - understand a wide range of demanding longer texts and their implied meanings; - speak fluently and spontaneously without much obvious groping for words; - speak about complex subjects in a clear and well-structured manner and show their controlled use of the organizational, connecting and cohesive patterns within discourse.
              

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Analysis of documents selected for their relevance to the socio-cultural context of the studied language. Oral and written activities targeting linguistic and cultural knowledge, but also discursive, functional and heuristic skills.
