Learning Outcomes of UE
Upon completion of the language courses of the second block, students will have a good command of the foreign language at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will be able to:
- identify, put into perspective and describe important events considered to be part of the general (i.e. historical, geographical or socioeconomic) culture of a native speaker;
- do relevant research on these topics;
- give a comprehensive and coherent account of the way they tackled the problems encountered in their research.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Students will become acquainted with the geographical, historical and socioeconomic context of the language they are studying.
They will have to do research and hand in personal assignments on questions related to these topics.
