    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Carry out, alone or in groups, activities or projects involving critical analysis
    • Communicate results or conclusions of these activities or projects in an appropriate manner
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used
    • Give a critique of the studied literature

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this learning activity, students will be able to: - identify, place and describe significant cultural events as a native speaker would ; - carry out competent and accurate research on these subjects; - report on their methodology and research

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Study of important steps in the history of Italy (founding of Rome, Middle Ages, Renaissance, ...). The historical periods chosen will lead the student to understand the complexity of modern Italy (for example, the historical divide between North and South, the evolution of political parties and institutions ...). Political and institutional news is also covered.
