Learning Outcomes of UE

This course is extremely important for the future professional in logopedics, working as vocologist/speech therapist:
A perfect knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of phonation and swallowing processes of the normal subject is a pre-requisite, in  order to understand the pathological conditions and to develop correct  strategies of logopedic treatments

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

This course describes and explains

1 The anatomy of the different organs, structures and systems allowing phonation and swallowing process: anatomy of the larynx, the pharynx, the oral cavity, and the respiratory system, aswell as anatomy of the neurological control.
2 Physiology of phonation: physiology of the laryngeal vibration, of the resonantial process, and respiratory adaptation to vocal emission
3 Specificities of speaking voice and of singing voice
4 Vocal evolution with age
5 methods of laryngeal examination and vocal evaluation
