Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
* The student must be able to learn several aspects of the drugs used in Belgium, among which their pharmacological and physico-chemical properties, their pratical uses in medicine, how to analyse them
* To understand in a very general way the steps and tools found in the drug development process.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
* Analysis of chemical groups; drug design at the molecular level (molecular pharmacochemistry)
* Systematic study of several pharmaceutical classes (anti-infectious drugs, antitumoral and immunomodulatory drugs).
Prior Experience
* Prerequisites : Chimie organique. Pharmacologie générale.
* Courses to be followed along with the present UE : Chimie analytique qualitative et quantitative Analyse instrumentale pharmaceutique Etude des médicaments inorganiques Pharmacognosie: Phytochimie et étude des médicaments d'origine végétale Pharmacologie générale

M-CTPH-309 | A theoretical exam in which the marks will be distributed as follows: - around 20% for questions on the introduction - around 10% for questions related to chemistry - around 70% for questions related to medicines Warnings regarding the written examination: Each question is scored on 0.5, 1 or 2 depending on the expected level of response. The intermediate mark is calculated from the total marks for the entire examination and then recalculated to 20 for the final mark. Depending on the quality of incorrect response given (eg, errors considered serious in terms of the importance of the covered concepts or their fundamental aspect regarding the level of study) or the quality of expression answers (eg, globaly for the examination: poorly organized answers, not correctly written, or nebulous meaning), additional points may be withdrawn without exceeding 2 on the final mark. |
