Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Plan, manage and lead projects in view of their objectives, resources and constraints, ensuring the quality of activities and deliverables.
    • Assess the approach and achievements, regulate them in view of the observations and feedback received.

  • Work effectively in teams, develop leadership, and make decisions in multidisciplinary, multicultural and international contexts.

    • Master and appropriately mobilise knowledge, models, methods and techniques related to the improvement of decision and management processes, mastery of mathematical modelling and optimisation algorithms, analysis of large volumes of data, mastery of Web and multimedia tools, design and operation of distributed and mobile computing systems, management of a large-scale software project, innovative management of a company and/or project team, the development of Web applications, and decision-making and managerial strategies of a company.

Learning Outcomes of UE

- identify the various components of a network; 
- understand the role and operation of each element and evaluate their advantages and limitations; 
- understand the advantage of the various tools available for the analysis of the networks performances.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

- Architecture of commutation networks (paquet switching versus circuit switching); Internet.
- Applications protocols (HTTP, DNS, DHCP, ...).
- Transport protocol ; UDP ; TCP.
- Interconnexion: IP & ICMP, routing protocols, MPLS; 
- Data link: LAN (802.3, 802.2, 802.11, switches), WAN, point-to-point link
