Identify current technological possibilities for electric vehicles. Understand the main criteria for dimensioning an electric power train. Master the principles of speed control of the main electric motors.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
requirements for an electric vehicle; mechanical aspects of an electric power train: transmission possibilities; types of vehicles (full electric, hybrid, railway); current limitations of batteries; dimensioning elements of an electric motor for traction engine; principles of speed control applied to the main electric motors (direct current, synchronous, asynchronous); vector control
