UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The aim of the course Introduction à l'information journalistique is to introduce the students to the world of journalistic information and help them to understand the main contemporary issues and debates on journalism, from a socio-historical perspective. At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the process of the production and treatment of the news and understand the constraints linked to the evolutions in working conditions of the professional group. They will be asked to adopt a critical view of the logic behind the production and consumption of journalistic information. Finally, the objective of this course is to introduce students to the basics of journalistic expression and writing. Based on a variety of examples from the news media, the course details the main techniques used in journalistic production.
