Prérequis

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Put English language skills and skills of at least one other language other than French into practice.
    • Read and understand the overall meaning of non-specialised texts, listen and understand the overall meaning of audio documents.
    • Write an information request, a summary and analysis of texts and videos, and an exchange in dialogue form.
    • Express an opinion on a subject, orally and in writing, as well as on topical issues within ideological debates, carry out an oral presentation on a topic related to the specialised field.

Learning Outcomes of UE

Reading, understanding and summarising, both orally (at level B1) and in writing (at level B1), the main ideas of B2 general English news articles and texts. Listening, understanding and summarising, both orally (at level B1) and in writing (at level B1), B1+ general English videos and conversations. Giving opinions about topical issues (at level B1).

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Revising the specific structures of the English language. Developing some communicative ability by calling upon the four language skills (listening comprehension; reading comprehension; written expression; oral expression) by reading and commenting on various texts, news articles, videos and spoken conversations in general English. Group presentations and debates.
