Learning Outcomes of UE

The objectives are
- to master contemporary architectural culture and its challenges 
- to master the design process in architecture and the formulation of ideas: contextualise, analyse, argue, synthesise
- develop a critical opinion 
- to develop architectural curiosity 
 

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

The course is subdivided into 3 activities: 
- Course: Criteria of contemporary architecture, references, analysis, discussion (timetabled sessions)
- Supervised practical work (1) - Group work - Contemporary architectural references: contextualising, analysing, arguing, synthesising, developing a critical opinion - according to the instructions given during the first course (timetabled sessions)
-  "upervised practical work (2) - Personal work: during the term, The student will have to carry out 10 activities related to contemporary architecture (Arts, Architecture, Urbanism) and record them (description, critical analysis and illustrations) in a "logbook" (according to the instructions given during the first course): 
             - 2 lectures (online or in person) ; 
             - 3 visits (city, district, built or unbuilt architecture, museum, exhibition,...) ; 
             - 1 documentary ; 
             - 1 scientific publication; 
             - 4 activities of your choice.

In the event that a student passes one of the two practical exercises but fails the AA (and therefore the EU) in the Q2 assessment, he/she may keep his/her mark for the validated exercise. In this case, only the non-validated TP will be submitted.
