      Content of Learning Activity

The aim of the course will be to give essentials notions about mental health troubles that can affect people with intellectual disabilities. As these troubles are highly prevalent in this specific population, it is a matter of great importance that students understand these troubles, how to differentiate them as well as etiological and risk factors that impact their occurence. The difference between challenging behaviours and mental health disorders will also be adressed. Clinical cases will be used to illustrate theoretical elements through the course.
