Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Scientific skills
    • In response to situations and aware of the methodological limitations: - Use common techniques of biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, studies of tissues and organs (i.e. link a macroscopic phenomenon to microscopic processes). - Use an experimental device in a biological model, know and use the concepts and techniques of animal physiology.
  • Professional integration skills
    • Work in teams in different contexts including with people from different disciplines, integrate, fit in, collaborate, communicate and report
    • Work independently: - Get organised, manage time and priorities, assess themself. - Master assessment methods. - Continue learning individually, prepare to educate themselves throughout life. - Demonstrate abstract thinking. - Be introduced to project management. - Show initiative.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, the student will have notions of anatomy and imaging of the nervous system and will understand the functioning of the major subsystems of the brain: motor skills, somesthesia and pain, sleep and the day before. At the end of this course, the student will be able to understand the mechanism of action of many pharmacological agents on the brain. By the end of the course, the student will have understood the fundamental mechanisms involved in the main diseases of the nervous system, such as Parkinson's disease for example.
