Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
the teaching unit aims to complete the student's training in spatial planning by deepening his skills in urban engineering. Urban engineering includes all the urban theories, techniques and solutions implemented on an urban and territorial scale, from the industrial period to the modern (digital) post-modern city, with particular attention being paid to issues of mobility, technical networks and new digital approaches under the cover of a resilient reading of the territory. The technical approach is approached both in the context of techniques through the history of the city, current theories and their applications in governance processes. Ultimately, the student must be able to have a solid knowledge of urban systems, based on systems theories, and enabling him/her to develop a critical mind in the face of current or future urban governance issues.
Content of UE
The Teaching Unit includes courses on mobility and sustainable development, urban networks, smart cities and resilience. The course on urban networks focuses on the history of all urban systems and the recent techniques applied to them. The Intelligent Cities course traces the recent history of the digital and intellgent city and develops the logic of urban governance related to these types of uses. the sustainable mobility course defines in detail the mobility models and their contemporary application in cities. the whole of each course is to be understood as a complement to the other and developing the theoretical principles of systems, applied here to the city..

Type of Assessment for UE in Q2
Q2 UE Assessment Comments
The teachers ask the students to produce a project in various forms (plans, article, project, ...) allowing them to demonstrate their skills and understanding of fields related to urban inequality, with a scientific approach and in relation to the contemporary issues of society in which future professionals of architecture and spatial planning will have to work. at the beginning of the courses, the teachers will provide the conditions for the exercise for the current academic year
Type of Assessment for UE in Q3
Q3 UE Assessment Comments
The U.E. relies on the course of architectural projects by proposing to deepen the work of urban relation and treatment of the public space by the project of rachitecture of the second semester and for each student. This work is supplemented by a theoretical exam allowing the teachers to ensure the mastery of the defined systemic concepts.
