Content of Learning Activity
Textual criticism and correction of literary drafts of translations; comparison of translations of works of 19th and 20th century European literature; exercises on particular issues (presentation of dialogues, choice of past tenses in narrative, use of the translator's note, etc.); reflection on the evolution of the stylistic and esthetic standards in literary translation.
