Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

After this course, the students will be able to :
- represent and analyse a set of statistical data,
- master the bases of probability theory and statistical inference.

Content of UE

DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS
One-dimension descriptive statistics - Tables and diagrams of frequencies - Position and dispersion parameters. Two-dimensions descriptive statistics - Regression - Correlation.

PROBABILITY THEORY
Random experiments and events - The different approaches of the concept of probability - Random variables, distribution of probability - Particular distributions - Mathematical expectation and variance - Independance of random variables - Some fundamental theorems.

STATISTICAL INFERENCE
Sampling, estimation - Tests theory.
