    Programme component

    Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

    • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
      • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
    • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
      • Develop knowledge in various fields, in particular those aimed at by translation activities
    • Use everyday technology (technological skills)
      • Use standard office software tools and editorial assistance effectively
    • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
      • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
      • Assess the relevance and reliability of documentary sources used

    Content of UE

    The students will be introduced to the basic principles of terminology and lexicography.
    They will become acquainted with term banks and other terminological resources, in the three Scandinavian languages languages.
    The students will be given practical assignments in which they will be asked to create and manage terminological databases using computer tools.

    The evaluation criteria will be published on Moodle and will include all three Scandinavian languages. For assignments or examens, the students can choose between the three languages.
