Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
    • Understand, reformulate and summarise documents and presentations, in French, on various topics written by experts, including those related to current affairs
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Carry out, alone or in groups, activities or projects involving critical analysis

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the term of this learning, students will be familiarized with some techniques of written expression useful for translation. They will be able to write accurately, concisely, and correctly as well to produce structured texts about current social, economic, political or cultural topics.

Content of UE

Argumentative rhetoric; stylistics; sentence, paragraph and text structure; vocabulary; review exercises as well as reformulation, summary and specific expression exercises.
