Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of this course, the students on the training will be able to:
- appropriate philosophy as an approach conducive to the development of basic citizenship qualities (decentralization, critical self-evaluation, listening, respect, invention, personal research, self-reflection);
- Mobilise bibliographic resources and philosophical and humanities related references relevant to think about the issues of citizenship in all their complexity;
- produce original and stimulating learning situations, using alternating approaches (oral, written, reading) and varying media;
- analyse, in detail and without resorting to stereotypes, their implementation;
- propose adjustments after reflection to the observed effects.
Content of UE
A substantial part of the course will be dedicated to giving critical feedback on the activities and practices carried out, which themselves are based on the main skills of philosophy, and on their links with the history of philosophy. Far from setting strict guidelines, this seminar is primarily reflective and creative. We will suggest the devices that will be tested by the group ourselves and their effects and philosophical scope will be evaluated collectively; the teachers will in turn invent new devices. The method used will be co-constructive.
Three aspects of philosophical practice will be dealt with more specifically: reading, writing, and orality. While they may be defined separately for the sake of organisation, they will certainly need to be combined in different ways in learning situations. A fourth aspect will also be dealt with: the evaluation of students' skills in Philosophy and Citizenship and the many ethical issues raised by these subjects.
Particular attention will be paid to the links between philosophy and citizenship that underpin the entire seminar.
