Learning Outcomes of UE

1.    Develop a mastery of the notion of digital mock-up (BIM: Building Information Modeling) and its impact on design practices.
2.    Be able to structure a collaborative design process and share design and building management data
3.    Be able to measure the contributions and limitations of the digital transition in the ACS sector.

Content of UE

The program consists of two capsules:
1.    Theoretical capsule (4 themes)
a.    BIM theory (digital mock-up)
b.    Design process and digital models
c.    Collaborative design and digital models
d.    Digital mock-up: tools, models, representation, actors and roles

2.    Practical capsule
a.    This course integrates an applied part materialized by a collaborative design exercise in situ/distance implementing a set of digital devices for collaborative work.

Type of Assessment for UE in Q1

  • Presentation and/or works
  • Oral examination
  • Written examination
  • Practical test
  • Graded tests
  • eTest

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

Attendance at the tutorials is mandatory with a check at the end of each session. These TDs result in a series of interim assessments (MCQ / TP rendering) as part of the final AA assessment. Absence from TP sessions and / or non-delivery of associated work is penalized with a zero rating. Only absences due to force majeure will be taken into account on the basis of valid proof to be given to the secretariat within 24 hours after the session concerned.
Other than these intermediate evaluations, the final evaluation will consist of the delivery of a collaborative design work for a project (specified at the beginning of the course) to be presented in the examination session. The final choice of weighting between the different evaluation methods will be specified at the beginning of the course (introductory course) and communicated via its Moodle page.

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

The final choice for the mode of evaluation for Q3 and its weighting will be specified following the communication of the results of the Q1 session and via the Moodle page of the course.
