Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Understand the concepts covered by the term environment;
Integrate the expertises implied in environmental issues;
Build up a glossary according to the expertises covered;
Approch eand tools for understanding and reading environmental charactristics of a site;
Understand the environmental qualities of a project from the concept of heat islands;
Use assesment and decision support toolls;
Implementation with a case study.
Content of UE
Historical evolution of concepts in environmental issues (non exhaustive approach);
Specificity of environmental issues related to buildings, the urban context and the city;
From the territory to the building: recommendations, typologies and materialities of a project with a high environmental value perspective;
Approach on argumentation, prioritization and evaluation of the environmental system of the project;
Case study.
Prior Experience
Mastery of the architectural project and the open space;
Basic concept on the typology of landscapes in Europe;
Ability to restore a reading of the context of an architectural project and its integration into its urban or rural territory;
Mastery of representation and architectural composition tools;
Mastery of approach and project scales;
Good understanding of societal issues.

The evaluation is based ; firstly, on the submission of a case study developed individually or in a group of two people (or max tree poeple) and wich is formalized in a A3 brochure (+/- 12 pages) and secondly, on an oral presentation followed by an exchange in the form of questions/answers.
