Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this learning, students will know the particularities of the prescriptive grammar ; they will be able to analyse and correct grammatically wrong sentences and texts. 

Content of UE

Language sciences and main fields of French grammar - Morphology, syntax - Prescriptive grammar - Concepts of contrastive grammar - Word spelling and grammatical spelling - Spelling reform.
