      Organisational online arrangements for the end of Q3 2019-2020 assessments (Covid-19)
      • Written exam (multiple choice, open questions)
      Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
      All students will receive the questions simultaneously and will have to answer in a limited time. It will be an open book exam, but there will be insufficient time to look up all the answers. The questions will be individualised. There will be problem sets, graphical interpretations, questions of understanding and open questions where I ask your opinion.

       

      Content of Learning Activity

      The course will treat the following topics: Welfare economics and the environment, optimal pollution levels, environmental policy instruments (command and control, taxes, tradable permits, voluntary approaches), the science basis of climate change, international negotiations on environmental problems (climate change versus ozone depletion), cost benefit analysis, optimal policy under uncertainty and irreversibility(real option value). The discount rate for environmental damages.
