Organisational online arrangements for the end of Q3 2019-2020 assessments (Covid-19)
      • Oral exam (questions and answers, presentation of individual or group work, comment and argument about a written text...)
Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
Here are the modalities of the exam that will be implemented in Q2 for the biomacromolecular engineering course:
      - The two teachers (Rosica Mincheva and Sylvain Gabriele) will send by email to each student a research article in English, which offers an application based on the concepts studied in the course. Each student will have to work on a different article but the level of difficulty will be similar
      - Each student must produce approximately 5 powerpoint slides (in English) in 4: 3 powerpoint format (with a maximum of 8 slides and a minimum of 3 slides) according to the following structure: (i) a brief introduction on the purpose of the article, (ii) presentation of the experimental and/or theoretical methodology, (iii) main results and their interpretation and (iv) a brief conclusion.
      - If necessary, each student will be able to submit by email to each teacher a list of 5 questions maximum (only one email per student) in order to help them to prepare their slides. These questions are only intended to "unblock" the student on vocabulary, technical or theoretical points.
      - Each student will then send their slides in powerpoint format (pptx) in 4:3 formatr to each teacher before the date of the exam.
      - An individual oral evaluation will be carried out by TEAMS (approximately 20 minutes) so that each student could present their work. The goal of the evaluation will not be a direct restitution. Reasoning and argumentation within the framework of a scientific discussion will be favored. Students will be asked to isolate themselves for this oral assessment, to bring their course materials, their PowerPoint slides and a student or identity card.
      - In the exeptional case where a student cannot, or does not wish to attend the individual oral evaluation by TEAMS, then this student will be able to opt in an exceptional way for a written report. This student must notify both teachers by email who will guide him/her on the structure of the document.
