Organisational online arrangements for the end of Q3 2019-2020 assessments (Covid-19)
      • Oral exam (questions and answers, presentation of individual or group work, comment and argument about a written text...)
Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
Here are the modalities of the new exam that will be set up in Q2 for the living physico-chemistry course:
      - The teacher (Sylvain Gabriele) will send by email to each student a research article in English which offers an application based on the concepts of the course. Each student will have to work on a different article but with the same level of difficulty.
      - Each student must make approximately 5 powerpoint slides (in English) in 4: 3 powerpoint format (with a maximum of 8 slides and a minimum of 3 slides) according to the following structure: (i) a brief introduction on the purpose of the article, (ii) the experimental and / or theoretical methodology, (iii) the main results and their interpretation and (iv) a brief conclusion.
      - If necessary, each student will be able to submit by email to the teacher a list of 5 questions maximum (one email per student) to help them prepare their slides. These questions are only intended to "unblock" the student on vocabulary, technical or theoretical points.
      - Each student will then send their slides in PowerPoint format (pptx) in size 4: 3 to the teacher before the date of the exam.
      - An individual oral evaluation will be carried out by TEAMS (approximately 20 minutes) so that each student presents their work. The purpose of the evaluation will not be a restitution. Reasoning and argumentation within the framework of a scientific discussion will be favored. Students will be asked to isolate themselves for this oral evaluation, to bring their course material, their PowerPoint slides and a student or identity card.
      - In the exceptional case where a student cannot, or does not wish the oral evaluation by TEAMS, then this student will be able to opt in an exceptional way for a written report. This student must notify the teacher by email who will guide him/her on the structure of the document.
