      Description of the modifications to the Q3 2019-2020 online assessment procedures (Covid-19)
      The content of the class was entirely covered before March 16 and stays unchanged. The weight of practical work and class participation is also unchanged.

      For the oral exam, the students will receive a list of 'theory' question to prepare the schemes and equations necessary to answer them.
      At the beginning of the oral exam, the student will draw lot to determine which question will be used and will then have 2 minutes to prepare the documents that s.he'll share on the screen as support for the discussion. Those documents will be in English.
      For the exercise part, one problem will be given to each student at the end of the exam and the student will propose a resolution method allowing to solve the problem, but will not carry out the actual calculation.

      Content of Learning Activity

      Thermodynamic study of steelmaking and non-ferrous production processes; Phenomenological study of steelmaking : oxygen steelmaking and refining of steel (including stainless steel), steel recycling with EAF furnace Non-ferrous metal production processes: copper, zinc, magnesium, titanium, molybdenum, zirconium ...; Theoretical and phenomenological study of metal solidification, including continuous casting; Metallurgical phenomena occuring during hot and cold rolling; Products quality; Environmental aspects.

      This class uses a CLIL approach.
