      Content of Learning Activity

      Main concepts of lexicology and lexography. Lexicology, concepts and terms, sub-fields. Lexical morphology (morphemes and families of words). Study of neologisms: derivation (prefixation, suffixation), compostition (marks, classes, composition), borrowing and truncation. Lexical semantics - linguistical signs. Models of analysis for lexical meaning. Semantic relationships (hypernyms, hyponyms, synonyms and antonyms). Polysemy. Paronymy. Mecanisms of tropes. Lexicography. Histrorical perspective. Lexicographical concepts. Macrostructure and microstructure. Types of definition. Examples. Application exercises. Preparation exercises for summarising texts.
