Content of Learning Activity
The content of this AA will focus on the diagnostic methods of issues such as intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. These diagnoses are intended to be holistic and systematic, taking into account the resources available in the environment of the individual. We will discuss the following questions: what validated diagnostic tools should I use? How do you announce a diagnosis to a person or, in the case of childhood, to parents? To what other professionals can I direct? What are the processes involved in an interview? To answer these questions, we will use different media (articles, video), manipulation of screening and diagnostic tests, and role plays.
Finally, we will also focus on the pivotal periods of individual development (early childhood, schooling, school-to-work transition, socio-occupational integration) as well as the essential and transversal spheres of leisure, Relational, emotional and sexual.
