Content of Learning Activity
Part 1 - Materials thermodynamics: Phase diagrams (binary and ternary) ; Ellingham diargams; Potential-pH diagrams; Stability diagrams. Ionic solutions; chemical activity. Part 2 - Principles and practice of extractive metallurgy: selection and preparation of ores; Methods for metal reduction; Refining processes; Case studies for the most used metals. Partie 3: Knowledge of metallica alloys: Microstructure formation; Main ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
