    Content of Learning Activity

This integrated project brings together a multi-disciplinary team of students whose mission is to design, industrialize, manufacture and test a robot, a vehicle, a drone or an industrial prototype. The project may allow students to participate to international contests (Shell Eco Marathon, Eurobot and so on) but it can be an industrial large-scale project as well (development of a motorcycle, a car racing, an industrial equipment, a production system and so on). It gives the opportunity to students to apply the skills developed over the previous years and to learn more independently. The project is focused to objectives within agreed timeframes. The student team is organized according to the standards practised in the industry. Students are coached by representatives of various departments of the faculty. Bimonthly meetings are organized and a meeting report is written and forwarded as well as an action items list that need to be accomplished with due dates. Each student has technical missions (mechanical design, modelling and simulation, software development, power electronics, control electronics, test bench and so on) and non-technical missions (project manager, secretary, treasurer, purchase, logistics, external contacts, organization of manufacturing and so on).
