Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Linguistic Skills - Apply linguistic knowledge to the practice of translation or interpretation.
    • Master the French language at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
    • Master the foreign languages at level C2 in reading and listening, and level C1 in writing and speaking.

  • Specific language proficiency in the foreign language - Using the foreign language in a classroom context
    • Determine and master the role of the teacher within the framework of the educational and school systems.
    • Use the communicational and relational competences required in the teaching profession.
    • Set up and implement educational, learning, and assessment strategies within the framework of the reference programmes, and with the pupils in the classroom.
    • Include the theoretical principles of pedagogy and didactics in their professional practices and to take a critical stance towards the latter.
    • Adopt a strategy of lifelong learning in order to explore new pedagogical, field-related, and technological approaches and tools and to evolve within the educational and social environments.
    • Interact with ease in the foreign language, both orally and in writing, with a high degree of grammatical accuracy.
    • Adapt resources and instructions in the foreign language to the learner's level of language proficiency.

Learning Outcomes of UE

This vocational training period will enable the students to plan a teaching sequence, to manage it in class and to evaluate it in order to improve their own practice learning from their theorical knowledge, their own previous experience, remarks coming from their school supervisors and tutors.

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

The trainee should deliver a training report comprising all the lessons taught. These lessons will include: the training’s supervisor’s evaluations grids and comments; the trainee’s self-assessment grids and comments ; the teaching and educational justifications of the trainee as well as his/her personal comments for each sequence presented in class. The report must be submitted before May 15.The Supervisors’s evaluation sheets must be the original documents. The evaluation of the report accounts for 50% of the final mark; FTI advisor’s evaluation (during training visits) accounts for 25% of the final mark; training supervisor’s evaluation accounts for 25% of the final mark.

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

The vocational training will take place during the teaching period because it requires real classroom situations. The report may nevertheless be subject to an assessment at Q3.
