      UE's Learning outcomes

At the end of the second module of the master in interpreting, students will be able to: - memorize a speech of a non- or averagely specialized nature while identifying and replicating its structure, using notes if required; - fully understand and memorize a more highly specialized speech through the preparation of documents and terminology; - render the speech in correct and fluent French with no errors of meaning and deliver the speech in a convincing fashion; - give a description and rationale for the strategies employed. They will be able to: - interpret a speech in conditions approximating to professional reality; - without meaning errors; - in appropriate French, showing a mastery of registers and linguistic subtleties and respecting the requirements of rhetoric; - describe and justify strategies employed. They will also be able to: - understand a French speech and pick up on the structure after hearing the speech for the first time; - Reformulate the speech in correct, natural German, avoiding literal translations, after having quickly researched the subject and terminology; - describe and justify strategies employed.
