      Objectives of general skills

      • Linguistic Skills - Apply linguistic knowledge to the practice of translation or interpretation.
        • Be proficient in another foreign language

      UE's Learning outcomes

      At the end of this programme component, students will master the English language at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, as for receptive competences. They will be at level C1 for productive competences.

      They should be able to:

      - understand with ease virtually everything heard or read;
      - express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions;
      - use language flexibly and effectively;
      - produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
