Objectives of general skills
- Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
- Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
- Be proficient in another foreign language
- Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
- Demonstrate real knowledge of the cultures of the studied languages
- Be familiar with codes and conventions of other cultures for the sake of interpersonal relationships

- Use standard office software tools and editorial assistance effectively
- Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)

UE's Learning outcomes
At the end of this programme component, students will master the Greek at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, as for receptive competences. They will be at level B2 for productive competences. They should be able to: - understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. - interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. - produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
UE Content
Commented reading of a large range of texts. Commented listening activities, based on audio(visual) resources. Oral and written production exercises: written texts and oral utterances in Greek on various topics. Systematic and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary.
