Objectives of general skills
- Understand the fundamentals
- Understand the key areas of chemistry: inorganic, organic, physical, biological and analytical chemistry, as well as basic knowledge required in mathematics, biology and physics
- Provide basic knowledge in more specialised fields of chemistry (e.g. in theoretical chemistry, chemistry of materials, macromolecular chemistry)
- Have a rigorous scientific approach
- Gather and interpret relevant scientific data and critically analyse it considering scientific, ethical and environmental aspects
UE's Learning outcomes
At the end of this course students will be able to understand, theoritically and experimentally, organism-environment relationships through the fundamental principles of metabolism and energy conservation.
