      Objectives of general skills

      • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in psychology and educational sciences to analyse a situation involving these disciplines
        • Identify and explain the concepts, principles and models of fundamental theoretical trends in psychology and educational sciences and their applications
        • Identify and describe the biological and socio-cultural foundations of human behaviour
        • Explain and give examples of human functioning, including in its atypical and pathological dimensions

      UE's Learning outcomes

      Developing the understanding of emotions and emotional states and their contribution to health and to psychological suffering.

      UE Content

      We will envisage the history of the concept of "emotion", the current models of emotional processes and emotional regulation, the interactions between cognitive and emotional processes and the role of emotions in the development of psychopathological conditions. The courses ends with an introduction on the topic of  "neuropsychology of emotions".
