      Objectives of general skills

      • Have a willingness to keep learning. Assess and pursue professional and personal development.
        • Continue to train and improve their skills.
      • Adopt a specialist approach to speech sciences. Master the concepts, techniques, methods, and devices specific to speech sciences so that they can be used in research practice.
        • Master basic speech signal analysis techniques.
        • Understand the basic concepts of phonetics.

      UE's Learning outcomes

      The student must be able to analyse the "Speech" object by studying the phenomena in their most tangible and most concrete aspect : study of the speech physical and acoustic aspects.

      UE Content

       The activities of teaching and learning are centred on the physical bases of the signal of speech in its acoustic reality. Notions of fundamental physics constituting the bases of the general acoustics allowing the understanding of the nature of the sound and its functioning are explained.
