      Contents

      Study of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys presenting special mechanical resistances or corrosion resistance or special physical properties or special forming properties. Study of the following metallic alloys : special steels (High and advanced special steels (HSS and AHSS), stainless steels and corrosion, reversible and irreversible alloys (alloys Fe-Ni)) ; nickel, aluminium, magnesium, copper, zinc and titanium alloys ; shape memory alloys (SMA).

      Laboratory work and industrial visits, 30 % of the mark (evaluation of the report of the industrial work, grading takes into account the quality of the report's presentation and the rigour in the provided explanations and the good control of the units and of the significant figures. Industrial visits : continuous evaluation during the year).
      Oral examination, 70 % of the mark, maximum length : 60 min (examination on the totality of the course. The student receives a question that he must prepare during 20 min with open cursus, than he exposes his response. The examination includes a general question about a chapter of the course (the student must make proof of his ability to summarise) which will be then discussed.

      Oral examination, 100 % of the mark, maximum length : 60 min (examination on the totality of the course and on the laboratory work. The student receives a question that he must prepare during 20 min with open cursus, than he exposes his response. The examination includes a general question about a chapter of the course and about laboratory work if the student didn't obtain 10/20 in<strong> </strong>Term 2 Assessment<b> </b>(the student must make proof of his ability to summarise) which will be then discussed.
